DigitalKhatt is an open-source project for Arabic variable fonts and high-quality Quran typesetting. Its goal is to bring calligraphic-quality Quran rendering into flexible digital text systems.

The project uses a MetaFont-inspired parametric font and explores OpenType and HarfBuzz extensions for variable-width glyph shaping during line justification. Its ecosystem includes Madina-style variable fonts, Visual MetaFont, Medina Mushaf Analyzer, JavaScript and React Native integration work, and related rendering experiments.

DigitalKhatt should be understood as infrastructure rather than a normal Mushaf app. It is especially valuable for developers and researchers building Quran experiences that need flexible, high-quality Arabic rendering, dynamic coloring, and stronger line justification than static font approaches usually allow.
