Overview
Amiri is a classical Arabic typeface in the Naskh style for books and other running text. It revives the typeface tradition of Bulaq Press, also known as Amiria Press, and adapts it for digital typesetting.
The font supports broad Arabic Unicode coverage, including Quranic notation, and is distributed as a free, open-source project under the SIL Open Font License.

4.4
Amiri is one of the most important open Arabic Naskh typefaces for reading and publishing. It is especially useful for long-form Arabic text and for Quranic passages where a mature, freely available classical text face is needed.
